Our 8th crop of seedlings is presently germinating.  Each year that task gets a little less stressful.  Just the right amount of water, but not too much, and don’t let them dry out!  After about three weeks of germinating I will begin to fertilize the baby seedlings.

This year’s new seedlings are Nordmann fir, Douglas fir, and Austrian pine.  So far it looks like every Austrian pine and Douglas fir seed has germinated and none of the Nordmanns have started.

These new seedlings will be available for sale next year, either in April if big enough, or in June after they have completed two growing seasons in the greenhouse.

  1. Thanks for the fast response. I am just finishing an order now but I need another 2 weeks before I get them. it is a small order of 150 spruce but I hope this is an annual order but much larger as I get my feet wet.
