Christmas Trees

We ship only fresh-cut premium-grade trees -- and in most cases they arrive on your doorstep for less cost than buying a similar tree locally.

Our 6 1/2 to 7-foot balsam fir our favorite tree and best seller.

Balsam firs are native to this area and grow well on our south facing slopes.  Balsams are a deep green color, have soft needles, and are the most fragrant of Christmas trees.  They have very good needle retention.  We ship many of our trees to southern states and have found that they will last for several weeks if put in a moist, air-conditioned room.

Each year we sell more Fraser firs.  Although Fraser's (genetic cousin to balsam) are native to the steep slopes of the Appalachian mountains, they grow well here in Vermont.  However, they are a little more of a challenge on our farm because our deer population tends to eat buds in winter!  Fraser firs are a deep green, almost silvery blue color, have soft needles, and have a balsam-like fragrance, although not as strong as a balsam.  Their branches are stronger for those heavier ornaments, and their needle retention is excellent...probably the best of all Christmas trees, thus the demand for Fraser firs!

Our balsams are available in 3.5 foot, 5-foot, 6.5 to 7 foot and 8 to 9 foot lengths, or you can specify what your length should be.  At present, because of limited numbers,  we only offer Fraser firs in the 6 to 7 foot length.

The tallest we can ship is the 9-foot tree.
